Safari tours to Africa: where to go in winter

Jeep-tour-to-Africa
In winter, you want warmth and colour all around you more than ever. Where to go in the cold season to enjoy the sun, scenery and emotions? Safari in Africa.

Tanzania is probably the #1 country to go on safari. It is where you can see the famous "Big Five": elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo. The country is home to the Serengeti National Park. More than 500 species of birds and three million large animals. In January, the rains begin to fall in the southern part of the Serengeti Plain and it is time for the Great Migration of Animals. This is a real spectacle, with animals as the protagonists. Herds of antelope and zebra race across the plains in search of water. It's a fascinating spectacle.
And in February the little gnu antelopes are born here. Unfortunately, they're easy prey for predators. This is when you can witness the fights between lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas.

Kenya attracts wildlife lovers as much as Tanzania in winter. It is home to lions, cheetahs, zebras and giraffes. And on the banks of reservoirs you can meet hippos. Lions are literally at home in Kenya. They come very close to the jeeps. A dose of adrenaline is assured.

If your holiday falls in December, go to Namibia, Botswana. The rainy season is still a month away, but the flow of tourists is significantly reduced. This means you'll be at one with nature without the cheers of the jeep tourists next door. Namibia is home to the endangered black rhinoceros. The chances of encountering it are getting smaller and smaller.
And Botswana is a favourite destination for elephants. There are not just a lot of them, but very many. And be sure to visit the water safari. Hippos and crocodiles have the ability to amaze.

Africa is love. Whichever destination you choose, the experience and the spirit of wildlife is guaranteed.
